A Clinical Study on Myelofibrosis

Abstract
|
|
|
The authors observed four patients with idiopathic myelofibrosis who had been admitted to Kyungpook National University Hospital between May 1975 and December 1977. The pertinent clinical results are as follows :
1) The male-to-female ratio was equal. Two patients were in the second decade and other two patients in the fourth decades.
2) The chief complaints were general weakness, epistaxis and abdominal masses. The intervals from the onset of the disease to the diagnosis were between one month and four years.
3) There were hepatomegaly(1-4 f.b.) and also splenomegaly(1-l0 f.b.) in all patients at the time of their first visit to the Hospital. All marrow aspirations attempt resulted in dry tap and
